Goals and objectives of the disputes are freely negotiated between a client and a counsellor, be they individuals, families, groups or institutions, which approaches in a holistic way, social, cultural, economic and /or emotional issues. Counselling may be concerned with addressing and resolving specific problems, making decisions, coping with crisis, improving relationships.
Mediator and Conciliator is a trained professional (often with accreditations) who helps to negotiate between two disputing parties. A Mediator is bound to remain NEUTRAL and to follow the code of ethics maintained by the accredited institutions. Mediators can be used resolve dispute of any magnitude. All disputes other than that with state and its intermediaries can be resolved through a professional Mediator, as per Part 3 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Arbitrator is a neutral person and a subject expert elected by party /parties, to decide or settle differences, as per the Part 1 and 2 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
